Teachers
Lisa Jensen
Lisa Jensen, 4th dan, began training in aikido in 1988 at Calgary Aikikai, with Yas Inaba Sensei. She has received Fukushidoin certification from the Takemusu Aikido Association.
Bill Trimarco
Bill Trimarco, 4th dan, began his training in Denver under Gaku Homma Sensei in 1987. He has received Shidoin certification from the Takemusu Aikido Association.
Our Teachers
Aikido of the San Juans is a member of the Takemusu Aikido Association, a qualified Aikido organization recognized by Aikido headquarters at Hombu Dojo, in Tokyo, Japan. This recognition enables us to obtain internationally registered and recognized ranks for our students.
Lisa and Bill are students of Hans Goto Sensei (7th dan). Our lineage starts with aikido's founder, Morihei Ueshiba, and has been passed on by Morihiro Saito Sensei through our current teachers. Lisa and Bill trained as uchi deshi, live in students, at the founder's dojo in Iwama, Japan in 2014.
