Teachers
Lisa Jensen
Lisa Jensen, 4th dan, began training in aikido in 1988 at Calgary Aikikai, with Yas Inaba Sensei. She has been a member of Takemusu Aikido Association since 2005 and has received Fukushidoin certification.
Bill Trimarco
Bill Trimarco, 4th dan, began his training in Denver under Gaku Homma Sensei in 1987. He also joined the Takemusu Aikido Association in 2005 and has received Fukushidoin certification.
Our Teachers
Lisa Jensen and Bill Trimarco are students of Hans Goto Sensei (7th dan). We practice traditional Iwama style Aikido as taught by the founder, Morihei Ueshiba, and passed on by Morihiro Saito Sensei. We train with Bill Witt Shihan (8th dan), Hoa Newens Sensei (7th dan), Bernice Tom Sensei (7th dan), Kim Peuser Sensei (7th dan), Wolfgang Baumgartner Sensei (7th dan), Aviv Goldsmith Sensei (6th dan) and many others.
Lisa and Bill trained as uchi deshi, live in students, in Iwama, Japan for the month of November 2014, receiving instruction from Inagaki Sensei, Doshu, Waka Sensei and other sensei who trained directly with aikido's founder, Morihei Ueshiba.
